Client: The Little Fox Den at Deep Creek Lake
Industry: Hospitality
Work Completed: Procurement, Redesign, Brand Design & Brand Strategy
The Little Fox Den is the realization of a ten-year dream. It began with a condo on Jeffrey Lane—the lofted ceilings and spiral staircase sparking a vision. Over the next decade, I explored the world of hospitality, experiencing everything from luxury inns to vacation rentals, learning what guests truly value. I even stayed in this very property under previous ownership, studying reviews to understand its potential.
After years of dreaming and home renovation inspiration, I finally became the owner. For six months, I lived in this little chalet, experiencing its rhythms and truly getting to know it. I discovered a place that needed love and care. I meticulously addressed every issue, restoring and replacing as needed, incorporating feedback from previous guests.
The Little Fox Den is meant to be enjoyed, and I'm thrilled to share it with others. My motivation isn't profit, but a genuine desire to honor this special place and create memorable experiences.
To enhance the stay of my Airbnb guests, especially those with children, I created a complimentary interactive digital activity book. Using Canva and Paperturn, I designed a fun, flip-book style guide packed with local recommendations and engaging activities. Optimized for smartphones, the PDF format allows guests to easily check off items as they explore, making their trip even more memorable when they're not out enjoying the slopes or the lake.
